Vegan Cornmeal Cake

Serves: 12 persons Difficulty: Easy Time: 1 hour


2 cups of yellow cornmeal 1 cup of all purpose flour 1 and 1/2 cup demerara sugar 4 teaspoon of baking powder

2 teaspoon of fennel seeds 1 pinch of salt 1/3 cup of sunflower oil (or another one) 3 cups of water 1 tsp apple vinegar (or another vinegar)


  1. Preheat the oven;

  2. Grease a baking dish with oil and flour;

  3. Add the dry ingredients in the recipe order and mix well;

  4. Add the oil and the water gradually and slowly combine them;

  5. Finally add the vinegar and combine gently.

  6. Bake it at 220°C for about 30 minutes or until it to be firm;
