Salt Carrot Cakes
Serves: about 10 units
Time: 15 minutes to prepare + 30 minutes to bake
1 1/2 cup of thin grated carrot 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp demerara sugar 2 tbsp sunflower oil (or other) 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar 1/2 tsp dry basil 1/4 tsp powder turmeric 2 tbsp of water 2/3 cup white wheat flour 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 1 tsp baking powder
Add salt to the grated carrots and mix well with your hands;
Add the ingredients in the recipe order until the water and mix thoroughly;
Finally, add the flour and the baking powder and mix gently. The dough should be moldable;
With wet hands, mold the cakes and bake them for about 30 minute in 200ºC oven or until well baked but are not resected.
Tip: they combine very well with a sauce or with this delicious recipe of creamed corn.
