Agar Agar, Sugar Cane Juice and Mint Gelatin


Unlike conventional gelatin, obtained from bone and cartilage of animals, agar agar gelatin comes from seaweed and as well as being free of animal suffering, has numerous health benefits. It is rich in soluble fiber, which improves the functioning of the intestines and makes it a food with a low glycemic index, that is, energy becomes slow and gradual, ensuring greater stability and organic harmony and increasing satiety.

The sugar cane juice is a very nutritious and energy food, rich in antioxidants, iron, magnesium and potassium. A natural sweetener with many health advantages. And to consume the sugar cane juice as agar gelatin lowers its glycemic index, but retains its energy advantages.

And we can also say that it is a great dessert for hot days because both sugar cane juice as mint have refreshing properties.

Agar Agar, Sugar Cane Juice and Mint Gelatin Recipe

Serves: 4 persons

Difficulty: Easy

TIme: 30 minutes

Ingredients

1 ts agar-agar powder 2 cups of natural sugar cane juice (without added fruit juices) Fresh mint to taste 1/4 squeezed lemon (optional)

Directions

Blend sugar cane juice with mint. Mix the juice with the agar agar and cook, which will be finished after approximately 3 minutes from the beginning of the boil, mixing. After turning off the heat, immediately add the lemon, mix, put in molds and refrigerate to accelerate the hardening process.

Tips

- Prefer to buy agar with color as white as possible. - The proportion of agar / liquid will vary according to the agar mark. Check the product label and adjust if necessary. - The sugar cane juice may be diluted with water according to the taste of each one, but taking into consideration the amount of liquid of the recipe. - This gelatin does not lose its firm texture even without refrigeration.
